Simplified; for me yoga is about being myself and observing and enjoying the richness and diversity the human experience has to offer. The catalyst for my own practice has changed many times over the years. In this moment having a balanced practice on and off my yoga mat, that is present in all layers of my daily life is the current focus of my yoga.

My "teaching style" is a synthases of 10 years of studying and practicing in different lineages and with different teachers. My focus when designing and asana practice is that participants may experience; a harmony between the freedom of the breath and the alignment of the movement, a relaxation of the thought bringing inspiring compassionate action and to balance with the central nervous system aligning the parasympathetic and sympathetic branches.

My duty as a yoga teacher is to meet you and your practice in the present moment. Each session is designed to build slowly and safely towards a pinnacle pose. Modifications for beginners, challenges for intermediates and precision refinements for experienced practitioners will be incorporated as needed and are a part of my belief that yoga is for everyone. Depending on the theme and design of the days practice hatha, yin, vinyasa, restorative and Iyengar elements will be recognizable. The opportunity to study, practice in a variety of communities, Toronto, Costa Rica, Morocco, India and Thailand has enriched and my widen my perspective while challenging my teaching abilities. I have 700 hrs of Yoga Alliance training. I have taught at studios in Toronto both public and private classes, I have had corporate clients, have run workshops, retreats and have assisted teacher trainings in Costa Rica and India . I just finished a year contract in Morocco at retreat centre and 3 months teaching and studying in India. Currently I am traveling and studying tradition Thai massage and meditation in Thailand. Please feel free to let me know if your require anything else from my end or if you have any questions.

Peace - Jess

Blessed to teach yoga to and meet so many interesting and unique people on this path.

I often share how much I've enjoyed my yoga experience with you - each and every class. I tell people you are a true yogi - not that I know what a "yogi" is I suppose, but for me that is what you represent. You are as I remember funny, gentle and kind hearted, you made the yoga classes I attended great fun. However I learned so much and through your unique way of teaching made me want to go a little further - deeper both physically and emotionally. Thank you and I look forward to attending a class of your again someday. -CJ

My yoga intensive with Jesse was a time and a practice that heavily impacted my life in a wonderful way. His knowledge and skill set are both vast and he understands compassion while still pushing beyond the comfort zone. I will always be grateful for the experience! -JW

Doing my Yoga teacher training with Jesse was one of the best decisions I've ever taken in my life. A perfect combination of yoga postures, teaching & philosophy without ever being intrusive concerning what to believe in but open and supportive. I fully trusted his competency at all times and would love others to go trough the experience with him, an experience that didn't stop at my yoga-mat but changed my life. -SN

I have participated in more than one yoga trainings and received multiple Thai massages, which is far less than enough from Jesse. His approach to sessions feel very sincere and honest. I always feel I leave having learned something new about myself. An experienced and knowledgeable yogi and inspiring human. Oh yes, making people laugh is another specialty of Jesse. What a sweet treat to know Jesse Barlow. -LD
